Description
D02J covers mechanical and chemical finishing processes applied to filaments, yarns, threads, cords, and ropes after their initial production to improve performance properties or prepare them for subsequent processing. This includes sizing, twisting, texturizing, heat-setting, lubricating, coating, and other treatments that modify the surface characteristics, strength, elasticity, or handling properties of linear textile materials. The classification encompasses both equipment and methods for applying these finishes, spanning natural fibers (wool, cotton), synthetic fibers (polyester, nylon), and blended materials.
