F22B

METHODS OF STEAM GENERATION; STEAM BOILERS

Description

F22B covers methods and apparatus for generating steam in boilers, including design, construction, and operational techniques for steam-generating systems. This subclass encompasses various boiler types (fire-tube, water-tube, etc.), combustion chamber arrangements, heat transfer mechanisms, and fuel feeding systems used to convert water into steam for power generation, heating, or industrial processes. It includes innovations in boiler efficiency, safety devices, water treatment, and control systems, but excludes the prime movers (engines) that utilize the generated steam, which are classified elsewhere. Related steam-using applications and nuclear reactor cooling systems fall under different classifications.
