A01D HARVESTING; MOWING
Introduced: September 1968
Description
A01D encompasses machinery and methods for harvesting crops and mowing vegetation. This subclass covers mechanical devices for cutting, gathering, and collecting agricultural products such as grain, hay, grass, and other field crops, including combines, reapers, balers, and forage equipment. It includes both the design of harvesting machines and operational techniques, as well as related auxiliary components for crop processing during harvest. Adjacent classes A01C (planting, sowing) and A01F (processing of harvested produce) represent earlier and later stages of crop production respectively.
