Description

A01D encompasses machinery and methods for harvesting crops and mowing vegetation. This subclass covers mechanical devices for cutting, gathering, and collecting agricultural products such as grain, hay, grass, and other field crops, including combines, reapers, balers, and forage equipment. It includes both the design of harvesting machines and operational techniques, as well as related auxiliary components for crop processing during harvest. Adjacent classes A01C (planting, sowing) and A01F (processing of harvested produce) represent earlier and later stages of crop production respectively.

Combine (noun) Combines Harvester or mower combined with a threshing device. Fork Forks Hand tool having two or more tines that are used for lifting, digging or pitching. Hay Mown forage crop in a dry or partially dry state. Haymaking Working on mown forage crop lying on the ground with the intention to make hay.
