CRUSHING, PULVERISING, OR DISINTEGRATING IN GENERAL; MILLING GRAIN (; obtaining metallic powder by crushing, grinding or milling B22F9/04; )

Introduced: September 1968

Description

B02C covers mechanical processes for reducing solid materials into smaller particles through crushing, pulverising, or disintegrating, as well as grain milling operations. This includes crushers, mills, and disintegrators of various types (jaw, roll, ball, hammer mills, etc.) and their operational mechanisms. The classification encompasses both the equipment design and the preparatory treatment of grain for subsequent milling processes. Related size-reduction technologies for specific materials or specialized applications are addressed in parallel subclasses within B02.
