Description
B65H encompasses machinery and devices for handling, processing, and transporting thin or filamentary materials such as sheets, webs, cables, and similar elongated products. This subclass covers unwinding, winding, tensioning, guiding, feeding, and edge-control mechanisms for materials in roll or continuous form, as well as apparatus for splicing, severing, and detecting defects in such materials. Applications include textile processing, paper handling, film conversion, wire and cable management, and similar industrial operations where precise material manipulation is required throughout manufacturing workflows.
