Introduced: January 2014

Full Title

Methods or arrangements for coding, decoding, compressing or decompressing digital video signals > using error resilience

Additional Content IPC

Resynchronisation marker resynchronisation markers A special Variable Length Coding binary word inserted to allow re-initialisation of VLC decoding, which is forced by the marker. Reversible Variable Length Coding reversible variable length code reversible variable length codes RVLC VLC allowing backward decoding of the stream, i.e. decoding of a VLC coded binary string starting from the end to the beginning.

IPC and CPC are identically structured here. All 4 subcodes exist in both systems.

IPC defines codes here since 2014.
