Description

A41F covers mechanical and structural devices used to fasten, secure, or support garments and clothing. This includes buttons, zippers, hooks, eyelets, clasps, snap fasteners, and similar closure mechanisms designed for apparel. The subclass also encompasses suspenders and braces used to support trousers or other garments. Technologies covered range from traditional fastening methods to modern innovative closures, excluding the textile materials themselves and garment construction techniques classified elsewhere in A41.
