F41J TARGETS; TARGET RANGES; BULLET CATCHERS
Introduced: September 1968
Description
F41J covers targets, target ranges, and bullet-catching systems used for firearms testing, military training, and shooting practice. This classification includes stationary and moving targets, target frames and supports, backstops, bullet traps, and range infrastructure designed to safely contain projectiles and facilitate marksmanship evaluation. It encompasses mechanical and electronic target systems but excludes weapons and ammunition themselves, which fall under other F41 subclasses, and does not cover general sports equipment used in non-weapons contexts.
IPC and CPC are identically structured here. All 8 subcodes exist in both systems.
2 shared codes have differing titles between IPC and CPC.
