G05G covers mechanical control devices and systems where the controlling function is achieved through purely mechanical means, without electrical or electronic components. This includes mechanical governors, mechanical regulators, mechanical feedback systems, and mechanical servo mechanisms used in engines, turbines, and industrial machinery. The classification encompasses devices such as centrifugal governors, mechanical linkages for control purposes, and mechanical threshold or limit devices.
