G05F SYSTEMS FOR REGULATING ELECTRIC OR MAGNETIC VARIABLES
Introduced: September 1968
Description
G05F encompasses control systems that regulate electrical or magnetic variables to maintain them at desired values or within specified ranges. These systems include voltage regulators, current regulators, magnetic field controllers, and frequency stabilizers used in power supplies, electrical machinery, and electromagnetic devices. The subclass covers both analog and digital regulation methods, feedback control mechanisms, and various sensing and actuation technologies employed to achieve stable operation of electrical and magnetic parameters. Applications range from simple linear voltage regulators to complex switching power supplies and electromagnetic field management systems.
IPC and CPC are identically structured here. All 4 subcodes exist in both systems.
