Description

Class C10 covers industrial processes and products related to petroleum refining, coal carbonization, natural gas processing, and synthetic fuel production. It encompasses technical gases containing carbon monoxide, liquid and solid fuels derived from fossil sources or synthetic routes, lubricating oils and greases, and peat extraction and processing. The class includes technologies for fuel composition, combustion properties, additives, quality control, and storage—but excludes metallurgical processes using coke (covered in C21-C25) and mineral oils used in non-fuel applications (covered in C10L and related pharmaceutical/cosmetic divisions).
