Description

B21C covers non-rolling processes for manufacturing semi-finished metal products including sheets, wire, rods, tubes, and profiles through mechanical deformation without material removal. This subclass encompasses drawing, extrusion, forging, bending, and similar forming techniques applied to metal workpieces. Also included are auxiliary operations supporting metal-working processes, such as heating, cooling, straightening, and surface preparation steps integral to shaping metal stock.
