Scope Notes
Glossary: image sensor image sensors sensor that detects and conveys the information that constitutes an image. An image sensor may do so by producing a signal that represents location-dependent attenuation of light (as the light passes through or reflects off a medium). The signal is an electric signal such as an electric voltage or current. The light an image sensor may detect is not limited to visible light but can be electromagnetic radiation in other wavelengths (e.g. infrared, ultraviolet, X-rays, gamma rays).
